SOUND INVESTMENT by Wook Kim

The made-in-the-U.S.A. Corgi (wellroundedsound.com) doesn't look-or perform-like your typical desktop speaker. Its cylindrical design (about the size of a paper towel roll) improves on traditional box enclosure by eliminating signal-distorting corners. The result of this and other acoustic enhancements is a spacious, richly detailed sound that adds thrilling warmth to vocal performances. The 3/4-inch (1.9 centimeter) plywood construction-made of 11 strips of Finnish Birch-offers exceptional rigidity and, with its Forest Stewardship Council certification, is environmentally friendly, too.
